Bathgate Hills Venture Charity was set up by a group of local people passionate about our local hills and their importance to us from every perspective – health and wellbeing, biodiversity, economy, heritage, culture and climate.
Our aim is to celebrate, protect and enhance the natural beauty and heritage of the hills, with projects for, led by, and driven by the local communities that surround the hills.
We became a registered charity (SCIO) in Scotland and have led a few projects since then, with the key focus of raising awareness of the amazing hills, and the need to understand and protect them.
