Bathgate Hills Venture is excited to announce that we have won funding from the Year of Stories 2022 to host a storytelling day. This is an excellent opportunity to reveal the stories of the Bathgate Hills in all forms, told through the voices of all generations. Please come and join us!

All entries will be exhibited at Linlithgow Burgh Halls in the morning of 9th October.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age category.

MORNING EXHIBITION

An exhibition of stories and photos by local people about real or imagined life in and around the Bathgate Hills. We will exhibit in Linlithgow Burgh Halls, with additional displays around towns in shops, bars and cafes.

The Stories of the Plants: A lunchtime guided Plant Walk with local herbalist and forager, Monica Wilde.
Only 20 places available so pre-booking is essential.
This walk is suitable for ages 16 and above.

STORYTELLING AFTERNOON
RECONNECT REGAL, BATHGATE 2pm – 4pm
‘Voices of the People’ – Join Libby McArthur, Scottish star of River City, Taggart and Rab C, as she hosts an afternoon of storytelling over coffee and biscuits.
Let’s give a voice to special memories in and around our beautiful Bathgate Hills – sharing stories that deserve to be heard.
